During the first few days of the fabulous new year with my soulmates in the fun 'burbs of Illinois, we reflected on how much we have experienced, all the people we have met, how much we have matured, and all the goals we have attained in this past decade. It's pretty impressive to say the least. :) Of course in my sappy head I think about how lucky I am to have the friends and family in my life that motivate me to be a better person and challenge me to keep dreaming so that I never settle.
With all of this excitement of the new decade I plan on taking a few of my dreams, turning them into goals, and achieving them with full vigor of the "YES" mentality that got me through last year. To assist in the inspiration my soulmate Crystal sent me a link on making a vision board which will fit in quite well with this new chapter in my life after quitting my current job to pursue what I am passionate about and learn more about who I truly am in this world. My vision board is intended for things that I want to do and in my life this year with a few long term visions placed in there to see the bigger picture.
So here are my TOP TEN GOALS that I will achieve this year.
- Live more sustainable by recycling, buying/eating more locally grown foods, and conserving energy at home.
- Take a wine making class to start the first piece of my long term puzzle on my vision board (to run a Winery/B&B) WOO!
- Take a cooking or pastry class to learn new techniques and recipes.
- Sky dive over the Grand Canyon. ;)
- Live without cable for a year in my own apartment.
- get a new job in the B&B or Winery industry.Read "How to start a Bed and Breakfast, For Dummies". Another piece of my long term vision.
- Be healthier by sleeping more than 5 hours each night, not drinking pop, and reducing any fried foods out of my diet.
- Visit 5 new cities I have never visited before in California.
- Practice Pilates on a weekly and consistent basis.
- Learn how to upholster furniture that I may find for a great deal that needs a little revamp.
beijos...
I second the NO CABLE! I can agree to that...we have so much better things to do :)
