The challenge is basically to live healthier and hold each other accountable for our exercises and meals. We will have a calendar set-up with what exercises we will do each day so that there is a little structure to our regimen and we are also planning to join a 24-hour gym.
So to step up my accountability I will try my best to post updates on our progress.
Some of the exercises that I plan to partake in are pilates, running, yoga, dancing, biking, power walking, weight training, and maybe even some fun Wii Active!
My rules in the 30 Day challenge that I am holding myself to are:
1. No soda pop
2. No coffee
3. No french fries or chicken nuggets!
3. Drink more water and tea
4. Minimize my dairy intake...especially cheese.
5. Half of my plate must be of veggies/fruit
6. Eat from smaller plates to help with portion control
The motivation and help from my friends will definitely make this regime fun and easier. It's always a struggle for me to get in to a workout routine but if there is someone else there to push me then I feel so great after wards!
DAY 1:
- Exercise: REST DAY :)
- Lunch: Turkey sandwich on wheat with green bell peppers, tomato, lettuce, pickles, and honey mustard. Water to drink and crackers with dried fruit for a snack.
- Dinner: Tilapia, brown rice with black beans and pico de gallo, garlic broccoli (apparently only 6 points with Weight Watchers), side garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette, 2 honey bbq boneless chicken wings from Applebee's, 3 pieces of celery. Water to drink.
- 3 cookies....could have done without those, I'll be better tomorrow!
Wish me luck since I love to cook and eat! But the result will be great as I am looking to AT LEAST lose 5 lbs. and tone up!
cheers to a healthy 30 day challenge
beijos...
Yes - I believe you will stay motivated to do this. Although I'm not doing a 30 day challenge, I will be there right along with you running/doing yoga and eating (mostly) healthy! WE CAN DO IT!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your support! I need some morning yoga poses that I can do to wake my body up! Any suggestions?
