verses that woke me up.

Good morning! As I laid in the hotel bed in Chicago, resting my feet from standing and dancing all day at Lollapolooza, I woke up at 8:30am with these thoughts racing through my head which formed these verses that could be dubbed as a poem. I am not a professional writer nor an eloquent poet but these verses are from me. Simple as that. I can probably count the amount of times I have written verses that tend to rhyme that may be deemed as a poem, these would not include all that times I had to write in my middle school English classes. For what ever reason, I woke up, looking out to the Chicago city, maybe from a dream, maybe from the light sun rising, or maybe from the alarm going off, feelin the need to document my thoughts. I knew that every blink that my eyes made, that was one less moment of my memory of the words in my head. Ha!
Well, here is my untitled poem of pure thoughts rushing out from hand to the paper:

UNTITLED

I think of the time, the time we were together.
I thought, thought it would be forever.

The plan was like, like this
Living with one another in a, in a state of bliss.

Then our paths grew, grew a little farther.
The love in my heart felt, felt so much harder.

Life's many changes, changes brought us closer by land.
That meant that I could finally, finally hold your hand.

I got what I wanted, wanted all of you.
But why did I feel, feel so blue?

I didn't plan, plan for the rest.
All you need to know, know that you are the best.

My heart still yearns for you, for you it still beats.
Maybe one day it will be, be that we meet.

For now we must continue, continue our lives
Wish for happiness, happiness to thrive.
